Acute Respite Care Program

The Acute Respite Care Program is a service of Lenape Valley Foundation available to adult residents of Bucks County. The service is designed to be an alternative to inpatient psychiatric care and/or to provide a secure and safe environment within the community.

The Acute Respite Care Program provides 24/7 staffing, linkage to community-based behavioral health services, and medication education and management in a home-like setting in downtown Doylestown, PA. The program can accommodate up to four individuals at one time, each having a private room.

All admissions must meet the following requirements:

• Willingness to participate in individual and group activities
• Capable of personal care and able to navigate stairs
• Ability to avoid all alcohol and illegal drug use and criminal behavior
• Have a residence in place for discharge and be able to discharge two weeks after admission
