Outpatient Services for Children & Families
As parents, we all want our children to grow up healthy and safe, making the most of their potential. Especially in today’s world, children face so many challenges and may need additional support beyond the family from time to time. Our therapists and doctors are here to provide that support and assist parents and caregivers in helping each child succeed.
We offer individual therapy for children and adolescents, and welcome the involvement of other members of the family to help with meeting goals in their daily life. Our child psychiatrists are available to evaluate whether there is a need for medications and to prescribe and monitor their effectiveness.
Our staff can assist families with a variety of issues, including the following:
- Managing behavior
- Anger or irritability
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Social skills
- Family relationships
- Eating disorders
- Grief and loss
- Self-harm behavior
- Impulsivity
- Trauma and abuse
- Foster care
- Self-esteem
- Bullying
Our clinicians strive to provide therapy in the way that will be most effective for each child. We can offer play therapy, art therapy, and “talk” therapy. Sometimes we work primarily with the child or adolescent, sometimes primarily with the parents, and sometimes a mixture of both. Please call us if we can be of service to you and your family.
