Lenape Valley Foundation’s Crisis Residential Programs provide short-term, voluntary residential care in safe, therapeutic environments designed to help individuals stabilize, regain hope, and move forward with a personalized plan for recovery. As an alternative to hospitalization for many people, crisis residential care offers compassionate support, clinical expertise, and a structured setting where healing can begin.
Whether serving adults or teens, our programs are grounded in trauma-informed care, individualized treatment, family engagement, and a commitment to helping every person build a path toward wellness.

The Lodge
Crisis Residential Program for Adults
Located at Lenape Valley Foundation in Bristol, PA

Opened in 2019, The Lodge at Lenape Valley Foundation is Bucks County’s first crisis residential program for adults. Designed as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization, The Lodge offers a welcoming, home-like setting where individuals experiencing an acute behavioral health crisis can receive intensive support while maintaining dignity, autonomy, and connection to their recovery journey.
Guests stay in private rooms and participate in a therapeutically rich program tailored to their unique needs. The Lodge’s voluntary, person-centered approach combines clinical care, recovery planning, and practical support to help individuals move from crisis toward stability.

The Cabin
Adult Crisis Residential Program
Located at Bright Path Center in Doylestown, PA

Our adult crisis residential program provides a safe, supportive, and structured environment for adults ages 18 and older experiencing a mental health crisis. Our Dialectical Behavior Therapy-based and trauma-informed approach helps individuals build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, navigate difficult experiences, and develop strategies to safely manage future challenges.
The program may benefit adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, emotional dysregulation, self-harm or suicidal thoughts, adjustment difficulties, behavioral or interpersonal challenges, and other mental health conditions contributing to a current crisis.
What We Offer
- Five evidence-based, Dialectical Behavior Therapy-informed therapeutic groups throughout the day
- Individualized treatment and support based on each person’s unique needs
- Individual therapy sessions focused on stabilization, skill development, and recovery
- Regular psychiatric/CRNP services and medication management
- Expressive and recreational therapies, including art and yoga
- Daily groups and support from certified peer support specialists
- Access to outdoor space and activities that encourage movement, recreation, fresh air, and positive engagement
- Full residential kitchen and laundry facilities to support daily living skills and independence
- Comprehensive safety and discharge planning to support a successful transition home and back into the community
- Coordination with outpatient providers, natural supports, and other community resources to promote continuity of care following discharge

The Cottage
Adolescent Crisis Residential Program
Located at Bright Path Center in Doylestown, PA

The Adolescent Crisis Residential Program at Bright Path Center provides short-term residential care for youth ages 12–17 experiencing a mental health crisis. In a safe, supportive, and structured environment, adolescents receive 24/7 supervision and specialized care tailored to their individual and developmental needs.
Using a Dialectical Behavior Therapy-based, trauma-informed approach, our experienced behavioral health professionals work closely with youth and their families to reduce immediate distress, build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, process difficult experiences, and develop strategies for navigating future challenges. The program may benefit youth experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, emotional dysregulation, self-harm or suicidal thoughts, adjustment difficulties, behavioral or interpersonal challenges, and other mental health conditions contributing to a current crisis.
What We Offer
- Four evidence-based therapeutic groups each day
- At least two to three individual therapy sessions per week with experienced clinicians
- At least two to three contacts per week with a psychiatrist or certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP)
- Daily groups led by certified peer support specialists
- Expressive and recreational therapies, including art and yoga
- Outdoor activities that encourage movement, recreation, fresh air, and positive engagement
- Individualized treatment based on each youth’s unique needs
- Family involvement and support throughout the youth’s stay
- Comprehensive safety, transition, and discharge planning
- Coordination with the youth’s school district to support continuity of education
- Connections to ongoing community, school, and outpatient resources

- Gender: Youth of all genders are welcome
