Dave Herold

Chief Executive Officer

Dave Herold is a Bucks County native and seasoned healthcare leader with more than 25 years of experience advancing behavioral health and social services across the greater Philadelphia region. Throughout his career, he has been deeply committed to expanding access to high-quality, compassionate care for individuals and families, particularly during times of increasing community need.

Prior to joining Lenape Valley Foundation, Dave served as Assistant Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at St. Luke’s University Health Network, where he played a key role in designing and launching adolescent psychiatry services, supporting the planning and development of new hospitals in Bucks County, and guiding strategic growth initiatives for behavioral health services. He also helped secure a $4 million federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to implement a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic model, strengthening coordinated, community-based care.

Dave brings a collaborative, forward-thinking leadership style focused on innovation, partnership, and long-term sustainability. He is passionate about building strong systems of care that meet people where they are and help communities become healthier and more resilient. Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Messiah University and a Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University.
